Brief History
It origin can be traced back to the establishment of Cambridge School of Art by William John Beamont in 1858. It was renamed to Anglia Polytechnic on the amalgamation of Cambridgeshire College of Arts & Technology and Essex Institute of Higher Education. It became a university in 1992 and was renamed to Anglia Ruskin University in 2005.
