Brief History
The university began functioning as a training college in 1933 under the direction of Dorothy Finkelhor and L. Herbert Finkelhor. By 1960 the business school had gained over 800 students and started expanding. During that time, the college was named Point Park Junior College. Later on, the college expanded further by adding in more programs in engineering technology, education, journalism, arts etc.
The University promotes experimental learning with a mission to help the students achieve their goals, advance their professions and serve the communities.
